Things To Do In The Lava Hot Springs Area

Lava Hot Springs Hot PoolsI am a big hot spring fan... and that is why I am here in Lava and I am eager and willing to share hot spring stories, secrets and adventures with others. That is why I have the name Sweetwater, because I love the water...Mary Ellen

At Lava Hot Springs Hot Pools over 3 million gallons of hot water bubble out of natural underground springs each day laden with minerals, but has no bad odor. The spring's temperatures range from approximately 102˚ to 112˚ degrees.

Lava Hot Springs, Idaho is a year-round resort community located in a beautiful mountain setting centered between Salt Lake City, Utah and Yellowstone National Park. There is so much to do in Lava it is hard to mention it all! Come soak in our natural hot pools, swim in our Olympic size pool, zoom down their new wild water slides, or tube down the Portneuf river with your family.

We have trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding, ATV rides, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling. You may want to take a wagon ride into the senic mountains for dinner and entertainment, a guided mountain tour, or watch a local Rodeo for a taste of the old west. Maybe you would like to fish on the Portneuf River or enjoy a round of golf on Dempsey Ridge or Central Links golf courses, Disc Golf, miniature golf on Main Street or virtual golf practice and fun and games at the local Arcade! You might rather have a luxurious massage. Spend your evenings playing Billiards or Bingo or sitting around the campfire roasting marshmallows. Enjoy a wide range of cuisine, gourmet coffee, ice cream and candy at one of our many restaurants, ice cream parlor, or coffee shops. After a great day of fun and excitement you will need to relax with a luxurious massage!

So much to do.... so little time!
